Anyone can become a member of the OBA, provided they attend at least one meeting per term. We encourage you to come along to a meeting first to ask any questions you might have and to find out more about the organisation.
All registered members are allowed to vote in elections and run for positions on the Central Committee. However, in order to run for the position of President or Co-President a person must be a registered member and must have attended at least 50% of the meetings of the most recent term. If you are unable to come to one meeting per term, but still want to support the organisation, you can become a friend of the OBA. As a friend of the organisation you may of course come to as many meetings as you want, but you will not be required to do so. Friends do not have voting rights and may not run for positions on the Central Committee, but can still be involved in the work of the OBA. |
