Kaw Dai (Yangon, Burma)
Kaw Dai is an education programme for young adult students from rural areas of Shan State, aimed at building the capacities of Shan youth to become leaders in their community. Each year 17-20 students are accepted into the programme, most of whom will have finished High School. These students receive 8 months of youth empowerment training in Shan State, before travelling to Yangon for the final part of their training.

Seeking
- An English teacher, to teach 4 hours a day, 3 days a week (during the duration of the course, from March-December)
Skill/experience required
- Native or fluent English speaker
- At least 3 months teaching experience
- TEFL certificate preferred

Support offered to volunteers
- Lunch and dinner provided each day at the Kaw Dai school
- Kaw Dai have an apartment that volunteers can rent or can provide support in looking for housing. Volunteers committing to 6 months or more will be able to stay at Kaw Dai apartment rent-free.
- Will provide a letter to support a business visa application
- Pick up from airport
- Internet available at the Kaw Dai school
- Can assist in arranging trips to Shan state for volunteers
