PNA works to broaden the political discussion surrounding issues in Burma, by delivering radio and internet news reports to ethnic minorities (as well as others) on the Thailand-Burma border and throughout the world. Launched in 2011, PNA is staffed with an experienced team of writers and is often seeking a volunteer news editor/ writer to help produce articles for the association’s English language site.
Seeking
English language news writer – to assist with internet research, writing/editing English language articles for the ONA website and editing reports for donors (25-30 hours per week total office time required). In addition the volunteer will help staff members improve their English skills so that they may serve the organization more effectively, with at least 3 hours per week class time required.

Age restrictions
No minimum age.
Length of placements
Minimum 3 month commitment.
Support offered to volunteers
On-site accommodation and meals provided. This includes a simple shared room with a mattress and delicious home cooked, rice based meals. It is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture by living and dining with the PNA team.
